Yes, the doors will open to 90° even when the refrigerator is close to a wall. The unit requires the following clearances to allow proper installation and air circulation: Sides (1/8") Top (1") Back (2"). You can view more information by checking the specification sheet. This can be found by clicking on the "Features" tab under the product image, then scrolling down to the bottom of the screen that appears on the right hand side.
