“what are the average dish washing time? I noticed one is for 2 1/2 hours and one is for almost 4 hours. I always thought dishwashers ran for about an hour or 90 minutes. Why does it take almost 5 hours to do a dishwasher cleaning?”

The “Normal” cycle length has a time range of 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. This is the washing time only; it does not include drying time, Auto Hot Start, or options. For a shorter wash, consider the 1-Hour Wash to quickly wash lightly soiled dishes. The longest cycle is the Heavy cycle for heavily soiled dishes, cookware, pots, or pans with dried-on or baked-on soils. The Heavy cycle is approximately 2 hours and 31 minutes. Lauren@GEAppliances
