Most range or cooktop models do not require a ventilation system or have a CFM requirement; however, we recommend checking the local residential codes in your area to see if one is required. -- We don’t offer specific sets of ranges with matching hoods, but we do have a few suggestions that would be a great match! Over-the-Range Microwaves are very popular for ventilation and the PVM9179SRSS would pair well with this range. For a more designer look, the PV970NSS Wall-Mount style hood would look fantastic! Question1. Is there downdraft vent that would work with this oven? I want to put it in an island and I do not want to use a hood vent. 2. What is the proper GE roller rack to order with this model?

You would need an oversized island counter to be able to accommodate the range and a downdraft system. We recommend reviewing the cutout and product dimensions for both the range and the downdraft vent you have interest in to determine the size counter you would need. - Answer The stovetop is smooth. Looks great and is easy to clean. You must clean up spills as soon as possible to take care of the stovetop and use ceramic stovetop cleaner once in a while. Also a spray of vinegar and water keeps it shiny.

- Answer Hello Thank you for reaching out with your questions.This is meant to fit in a 30 in opening. You will need to allow 30” minimum clearance between surface units and bottom of unprotected wood or metal cabinet, or allow a 24” minimum when bottom of wood or metal cabinet is protected by no less than 1/4” thick flame retardant millboard covered with not less than No 28 MSG sheet metal, (.015”), .015” thick stainless steel, .024” aluminum or .020” copper. QuestionCan you cook a 22 pound turkey in bottom oven?

- Answer Hi - Thank you for your interest in this lovely GE Appliances double oven range. For any size oven, the food item should have a minimum of one inch of air space on all sides to cook properly. This includes the top, bottom, right, left and back wall. The pan size needed to accommodate the turkey may restrict the size you choose. Larger sized turkeys are baked using the lowest rack position in the range. The lower oven will hold a turkey that is about 20 pounds. The turkeys we test are normally in the 20 to 25 pound range and we use the lower oven of the double oven models with the rack in the lowest position.
