“I have this oven and my cooktop is GE Profile as well in stainless steel. The manual says I can put the grates in the oven on the clean cycle but I am so hesitant to. I am worried about the finish being affected. Is it for sure safe to do this?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Beth, I assume you are talking about the cooktop grates. I would not put them in your oven on the clean cycle. Some can be placed in the dishwasher, but your manual should clarify that as well. There are silicon rubber feet on the bottom of the grates that could be adversely affected by the high temperature cleaning cycle. Grate cleaners are available in most kitchen stores or online from GE and others. Hope this helps.
