Hi - Thanks for reaching out to us. If your racks are difficult to pull out or remove, we recommend pouring a small amount of vegetable oil on a soft cloth and lightly coat both sides of the each rack. Using other types of cooking oil could cause discoloration on the oven liner. This is normal and is not cause for concern. We are glad you checked with us. Kind regards - Vikki@GEAppliances
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We just received our replacement range since the original came damaged. We were having the exact same problem with the grates. I called GE and was told to spray the grates at where they fit it in with canola oil. By the way, the new stoves's racks slide in and out perfectly.
