The ice bin must be removed to access the water filter and to fill the water reservoir with vinegar/cleaning solution. It is not necessary to put the ice bin back in place while it runs through the cleaning/circulating process. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I remove mine. I clean the ice bin with a non abrasive sponge (as to not scratch the plastic) and leave it dry while running several clean cycles on the icemaker.
