“Our Opal 2.0 was working fine, but was getting rather loud yesterday and it was time to clean and descale, so I did that. Now it will not make ice. Indicates it is making ice, but I am not hearing it kick on to do that- just water running into the tank”

First, check that the ice bin is pushed all the way in place. You can also try to reset the Ice Maker by unplugging the unit for 3 to 4 hours. If those tips don’t help, search for the article titled “Opal Ice Maker - Not Making Ice, Water Well is Full (Models with no Round Button on the Front)” on our GE Appliances website in the Support tab for additional troubleshooting.
