“My opal is making shredded ice not the nuggets am I doing something wrong or is my opal defective?”

• Opal 2.0 out of box normally has made perfect cubed ice. We purchased a side water tank adapter and as soon as we installed it the shaved ice started. Tried several cycles with and without the side tank. default= cubed. sidetank= shaved

• This happened to me once, I cleaned it will warm water & that solved the problem.

• Mine is making nuggets so sounds like something is not right.

• Sounds defective. I followed all the setup instructions. The only place I had an issue at first was the water line crossed over some wires which raised it enough to create an air bubble and the water didn't feed properly. Other than that, and the awful whining from time to time, the ice has looked great.
