“It keeps saying add water and I’ve tried the thumb over the suction hole. I have tried repeatedly but I don’t feel any suction not sure what to do at this point. I don’t want to give up on it because it was a great machine idk what to do. Any ideas??”

Prime it (thumb over the suction hole) while it is in cleaning mode.
