QuestionI have a similar question to everyone else. I currently have a je2160sf01 with a trim kit. I want to reuse the trim kit as well. What models can I use? Maybe jes2051snss or peb7226sfss? Do I get any additional benefit with the profile series model?

- Answer Hi mymini, This is Lisa from GE Appliances. Thank you for your question. I am happy to help. Model PEB7227SLSS is the replacement model. Trim kits are not interchangeable between models. JX7227SLSS- 27 inch (Stainless steel); JX7230SLSS - 30 inch(Stainless steel) I hope this helps. Thank you for considering GE Appliances.

QuestionOur 2 year old GE microwave PEB7226SF1SS suddenly started arcing. I replaced the wave guide, but the arcing continues between the wave guide and the magnetron. Please suggest another microwave of same specs so that I can use the existing trims.

- Answer Hi rc01- We are sorry to hear of the arcing in your microwave and glad to offer assistance. Arcing may occur for several reasons. Gold or Metal cooking utensils can cause arcing between the metal and the microwave case. Gold or metal trimmed cooking utensils can cause arcing as well. It has been found that some vegetables such as green beans and carrots may cause an arcing effect/sparking (on the food product itself) when cooked in the microwave. Possible reasons why this arcing occurs: The vegetables are not covered. The types of seasoning (i.e.: bacon grease, onions, etc). Little (if any) water surrounding the vegetables. QuestionWe have a broken (no power) GE profile JE2160SF03. Spec for our broken one is attached as an image. We need to replace it but would like to keep the existing trim (JX2130SH). Can you recommend a current comparable microwave? Thanks!

- Answer Hi BforGE- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Microwave trim kits are not interchangeable. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. PEB7226SFSS is compatible with GE® Optional 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX7230SFSS. QuestionOur GE microwave Model # PEB7226SF1SS has stopped heating the food. This is installed under our Kitchen Island. Which new GE model will fit in the current opening? Can I remove the old and replace the new myself or I will have to get a prof. installer?

Make sure the “Timer” function was not inadvertently used. Check to ensure the is door closed firmly. Close it firmly, but do not slam. This confirms the engagement of the door's safety mechanisms. Installation of this appliance requires basic mechanical and electrical skills.
