A:AnswerMy built in GE Profile PEB2060SM2SS built in Microwave started turning on when I opened the door, yesterday evening. I'm not DIY savvy so I would like to replace it with a new one. Where can I buy this exact Microwave?
A:AnswerOur original microwave was a GE Profile JE2160SF03 with trim kit JX2130SH. We replaced the microwave with PEB7226SFSS and used the old trim kit. It fit perfectly. All the holes matched. No problem and saved lots of money!
A:AnswerHi Eschmidt- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! The comparable model is our GE Profile™ Series 2.2 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven PEB7226SFSS. It is compatible with GE® Optional 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX7230SFSS and GE® Optional 27" Built-In Trim Kit JX7227SFSS. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. We encourage you to view the Quick Specs for more details: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=240379_peb7226sf_c2.pdf - Thank for reaching out to us! A:AnswerHi Macy2493- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We certainly appreciate your loyalty! The comparable replacement is our GE PROFILE™ SERIES 2.2 CU. FT. COUNTERTOP MICROWAVE OVEN
PEB7226SFSS. It is compatible with OPTIONAL 30" BUILT-IN TRIM KIT JX7230SFSS and OPTIONAL 27" BUILT-IN TRIM KIT JX7227SFSS. We suggest to view the Quick Specs for cabinet cutout requirements: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=240379_peb7226sf_c2.pdf - The only difference between the 27" and 30" trim kit is the trim frame. If the microwave is installed over a 27" or 30" wall oven, be sure to match the trim kit width to the oven. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for each model (trim kits are not interchangeable). Also, keep your stainless steel appliances looking like new with Cerama Bryte® Stainless Steel Appliance Cleaner: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/PM10X311 - We hope this is helpful. Thanks for making GE Appliances a part of your home. Enjoy!
A:AnswerI can confirm Maverick's answer. The GE JES2051 works with the PEB2060's trim kit. Got a JES2051DNBB today and the trim kit (JX2027) I used for the PEB2060 lined up with it perfectly.
And a note to the GE engineers: You are not doing yourself any favors by changing dimensions and forcing the customer to buy a new trim kit that may be almost as expensive as the microwave. Your customers may simply choose to go with another brand. That's what I would have done if I did not find a compatible model.
A:AnswerHello Dean077 - This model requires a different trim kit than what you had with your older model. Here is the current model that replaced what you have: http://appliances.monogram.com/us/specs/ZEB1226SHSS. -TREY@GEA

A:AnswerIt depends on your trim kit, as not all of the holes match up. The trim kits compatible with above model are JX7230SFSS and JX7227SFSS. Your model was compatible with trim kits JX1830 and JX1827 which were for 1.8 cubic foot microwaves.

A:AnswerHello PEPPER - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. Your PEB1590SM2SS convection microwave can be replaced by the new Profile #PEB9159SJSS convection microwave. However, the trim kit for the PEB9159SJSS requires a cabinet cutout of 17-1/8" high x 23-1/4" wide so the cabinet cutout you have of 18-3/4" high x 24" wide will require an adjustment. We hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerHello Len - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. The JE1660GB02's trim kit required a cabinet cutout opening of 17-9/16" high x 24-1/8" wide. Our PEB9159SJSS microwave uses a trim kit that requires a similar cabinet cutout. Unfortunately, the old trim kit will not fit a new microwave, but the good news is that you would not have to do much to the cabinet opening. We hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerHi Anne- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We certainly appreciate your loyalty! A comparable model is our GE PROFILE™ SERIES 2.2 CU. FT. COUNTERTOP MICROWAVE OVEN PEB7226DFBB. You will also need OPTIONAL 30" BUILT-IN TRIM KIT JX7230DFBB or OPTIONAL 27" BUILT-IN TRIM KIT JX7227DFBB. The only difference between the 27" and 30" trim kit is the trim frame. If the microwave is installed over a 27" or 30" wall oven, be sure to match the trim kit width to the oven. We encourage you to view the Installation Instructions for cutout and clearance requirements at the following link (page 2): https://www.myapstore.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40727.pdf - Keep in touch!
