“Is the black stainless model PGP7036 BMTS cooktop Matt finish? If it is shiny as previously answered, why are you describing as Black stainless? Wouldn’t that be black enameled? Very confusing”

Hi Jekerr1952 - Thanks for viewing GE Profile Model # PGP7036BMTS! This cooktop has a black porcelain cooktop (glossy). The knobs are Black Stainless Steel. The grates and burner caps are a Matte Black only. We do not offer a fully black stainless gas cooktop as the coating can’t withstand the heat. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The only thing on the cooktop that is black stainless are the knobs. The actual cooktop is black enamel. I'm assuming this is because the black stainless would scratch since it is a coating.
