“Just to be sure I understand I do not need a hood? it has a vent on the stove its self ? I currently have a older stove no hood vent and the vent is in the middle of the stove top”

Most range or cooktop models do not require a ventilation system or have a CFM requirement; however, we recommend checking the local residential codes in your area to see if one is required.
