Thick king size comforters/blankets are a challenge with the drying. I recommend half way through the dry cycle to pull out the large article rotate and replace. Even with that you’re still going to have to use multiple dry cycles. In my opinion this is no different than a conventional dryer. Sometimes it is best for very large and thick articles to just take them to the laundromat and use one of their large commercial machines or just hang dry.

Our UltraFast Combo features a 4.8 cu. ft. capacity to allow you to clean large sized loads, including a king-size comforter. For California king size bedding specifically you may want to review the capacity of your current unit to ensure the capacity of our Combo is comparable, and consider the thickness, density and overall size of the item. As long as the comforter fits behind the tub gasket and isn’t stuffed in tightly, we would expect a quality washing and drying performance. And in general, we would expect the Combo to handle large loads well and be a great fit for a larger family! We hope this helps, and we’re always available to assist if you have any other questions or concerns. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
