According to the manual, the “less” setting dispenses 40% less than it otherwise would. I haven’t taken any measurements but based on the manual, it has a baseline amount it will do for an 8lb load. If your load is smaller or bigger it will adjust the detergent accordingly. And then if you do the “less”, it will reduce the selected amount by 40%. If you do “more”, it will increase by 40%.
