“I'm planning to run new hot and cold water service in preparing to install this model. What's the optimal diameter PEX line to ensure good water flow to the system? 1/2" or 3/4"? Or a full 1"?”

I believe that the Oatey PEX washing machine outlet box uses 1/2 PEX b for its connections. There are also PEX a boxes available. Optimal flow would be PEX a and expansion collar also 1/2 inch.

You may be able to get the optimal water hoses through the dealer you purchase from, or you can also get them from our GE Appliances parts department; they’re available as part number WX14X10011 and our parts department can be reached at 1-877-959-8688. Regarding the faucets, those must be ¾” garden hose-type so that the inlet hoses can be connected. If more details may be helpful, you can view the full installation instructions on our GE Appliances website, when you look up the model number and go to the product page; the instructions start on page 22 of the manual.
