Hi There, You can absolutely ride this without any pedal assist! Simply set your display to level 0, or ride with the bike powered off. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can ride it without the assist. However, the bike is heavy; so it takes more effort than on a light bike. I often ride mine without motor assist but usually use the motor when starting from a deadstop.
