Surprised that was their answer because their site says there IS a filter, with an activated carbon layer, to be replaced every 3-4 months.

It also says the UV-C bulb will need to be replaced every 10-12 months. From the pic, not sure how easy replacing the bulb will be.

Filters are $18 for 4 (on sale now for $12) and the bulb is $10.

This unit does not produce ozone. 
There are no filters in this unit.
