Wi-Fi SPEED PROBLEM solutiim. Please confirm for yourself and post.I received my gigabyte aero Oled 15 11 gen i9 yesterday. Tested out the wi-if, and could not believe how bad. Approx 13 mbps up, approx 5- 14 mbps down. My iPad next to it was five times as fast 47/70 mbps up/down. Changed my adapter setting “Throughput booster” to enable (default was disabled). Could not believe my eyes. Instant rocket (relatively speaking). 128/196 mbps. My iPad was still the same 47/70 mbps. Decided to flip the Throughput booster” to ‘disable’. It was still very fast. Kept it on enable, and could not be happier. The path is ‘control panel->Network and Internet->Network Connections”, select Wi-Fi for this intel adapter, then right-click to properties, then configure, Advanced, and from the list select "Throughput Booster", set value to "Enable". Run Speedtest, before and after the change. you will now love your new intel wi-fi adapter. And as I ran the successive tests it get getting faster, the 3rd test being 146/265 mbps. Don’t think this will be consistent since there is no AI behind it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had my laptop a couple of weeks now and love it! I also read all the reviews about wifi dropping signal issues. When I booted up for the first time and setup my wifi in my house, everything seemed fine. When I downloaded my first file, I got a disconnect error warning. I felt sick and thought about returning it. I rebooted the laptop and have been using it daily for the last week heavily and it has never done it again. The wifi is wicked fast and, so far, reliable. I haven't moved it to other wifi areas so don't know how portability effects the wifi? Would love to hear others' experiences also.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had this laptop for 2 weeks now. Zero issues with Wifi speed and or drops. I just have a crappy century link router and used my Aero at the other end of the house. If you have issues I think it would more advantageous to check your router's wifi broadcast channel. Changing can be very helpful.
