The screen on the back is a gimmick. Only the F.E. has a wide enough design that it's functional. What you are looking for is how thick the fin stack and how well ventilated the sides are of the card, as well as the designed of the heatpipes. If you put a back plate on, you'll only see probably a 1C in difference, if even that.
