Q: That giant purple stripe, is that like a sticker or something that is optional I would hope?

A: A 24gb vram 3080 does not exist, you are talking about the $1500 card the 3090 as far as the 24gb goes vram is the storage of data which makes up the display on your screen. More vram is used for better resolutions such as 4K or 8k.

A: The screen on the back is a gimmick. Only the F.E. has a wide enough design that it's functional. What you are looking for is how thick the fin stack and how well ventilated the sides are of the card, as well as the designed of the heatpipes. If you put a back plate on, you'll only see probably a 1C in difference, if even that.
