The Chromecast works well with Google Home. It has a 3.5mm stereo plug, so you can easily adapt it to whatever plug type your aux plug requires.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can. I have the same set-up at home with another amp but its basically the same.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! I just attached Chromecast Audio to my 1988 Onkyo receiver, with an RCA input adapter. (My receiver lacks an aux input.) The receiver is attached to two Infinity floor speakers. Set up on Google Home from my phone was easy. Other than having to manually turn on the receiver, all connections, music and volume is run through Spotify on my phone. Power and clarity is impressive. It's a great example of old meets new.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yep, as long as you have Wi-Fi and a way to stream music to the chrome cast. The aux input is easiest, but you also could get a 3.5mm audio to RCA cable and run it to any other input you have available. On my set up I leave the chromecast on 24/7 and power the amp on and off.
