Laptop hdmi ports are generally output only. You would have a better chance using your built in webcam and downloading an extension for google chrome that can utilize your webcam.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! As long as you use the cast screen function on the chromecast app... you will be able to mirror the live feed to a tv. I use it all the time when skyping from my laptop or phone.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you open a new tab of chrome and click the cast button, in the right hand corner of the selection drop down will be a small downward arrow. Click that and select "Cast Screen". Now choose your Chromecast. You can then select the window that has the camera feed, from the popup that will appear in the center of your screen. This method can be used to cast any window on your computer.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Using the "Cast your Screen" functionality, I don't see why this wouldn't work. If you can see it on your screen, you can cast it to your TV. I haven't tried it with a projector but it makes sense that, as long as there's an HDMI port and available WiFi, it should work. Hope this helps and good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The device only connects with Google IP-ready applications (i.e. - Netflix, Youtube, Google Movies, etc.) and will not interface with a live-feed camera. But if you are asking if you can host a live feed between your laptop (being a Google Chromebook only) and your video camera that projects the broadcast onto a connected TV, then yes, that might be doable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes. it will mira cast
