Yes and no. You'll need to sign up for a separate tv service (like playstation vue or sling tv or something similar) to get a very similar experience. That being said, I've ditched my TV service and only use streaming with netflix, hulu, hbo now, watchESPN, etc... and haven't missed much. It's not as great for local channels, but for general TV watching, it easily replaces it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have services like Netflix or Amazon Prime, it could.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In a way it can if you're willing to cast from your smart device. I cut the cord a few years ago myself, I've learned that my phone can process more than what cable was charging me not to have. Chromecast device allows your dumb tv to become a smart tv without you replacing your tv. I use a few apps that I wish I was use on my tv which the Chromecast allows me to do so. I've been able to cast youtube, kobi, email, games etc. to my tv. It's a fun device and easy to setup, try it out if you own Android devices or even Apple.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and No. These are 2 different services. Google tv is a streaming service and you will end up subscribing to cheaper streaming source. Comcast is broadcasting service, for regular tv channels Upto you what you need.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Havent used google tv but I just recently cut the cord and dropped comcast cable in place of fire tv's on all my TV's a little over a month ago and so far im loving it and the money im saving. Im using Playstation VUE that has an actual guide and cloud DVR which is awesome and I use the google app TVTIME to keep track of the shows I watch which also alerts me to when new episodes are out. You can also save all your favorite shows on the VUE as well.
