this is not a tv tuner, but an Internet service delivery device, meant to connect to a TV. If you have an Internet movie service like Netflix you should be able to receive it directly on your Chromebook, and don't need this. But if you are looking to tune in live TV on the Chromebook, you need a different device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as I know (and a quick Google search too), there's no TV tuner for the Chromebooks. Sorry
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have the Chrome Browser on the laptop it will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Chromcast can plug in to it with an hdmi port but it does you no good as it is only a tool to put what you can access online onto your tv. Essentially it turns your "dumb tv" into a "smart tv" with a tablet or smartphone as a controller.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have a Chromebook, but my short answer is no. Linux and TV tuners are really hit or miss and I would say TV tuners were not a consideration when building ChromeOS. The other issue would be interface. Most TV tuners I see are either full size PCIe, which notebooks don't have, or MiniPCI of which laptops generally only have one for the WIFI card. Then you have the additional problem of the antenna wire routing to the outside and the extra power consumption. There might be a USB solution, but unless it does all the converting and just sends a stream of video in a standard format (MPEG2,.H.264) but you would need a streaming app to capture the video.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can watch YouTube Hulu Plus Netflix and a lot of other things you can put post your pictures in things like that but you can't surf the net at all
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is not installable - it plugs directly into a TV; however; your chromebook will stream tv to the device for viewing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope. Chromebooks just run a basic Google OS for email, facebook and similar tween garbage. You would need a -real- laptop with a -real- OS to do anything other than "like" recipes all day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes... so far the ChromeCast can have issues with you have a wifi receive connected to TV set ... but it can connect via laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
