Yes my bedroom tv is a hd tv but not a smart tv as it was when they first came out. It also worked in my living room and thats a smart tv. The tv in the living room would work really slow, lag or even drop and disconnet the internet when I would watch Netflix. But I put the same Chromecast on that tv and it worked a THOUSAND times better. Its just labled" bedroom" when you are searching for it and it will still connect. (One of my worries was that to would have to buy one for each tv) but apparently I dont. And it didnt say if you could or couldn't in the instructions, so that trial and error worked out great. The only problem with it is that the Chromecast comes with a plug that you have to attach to it so you have to unplug it from the electrical source and the tv and reconnecf to the other tv and an electrical source and the cord is VERY short. I just remedied it with an extension cord.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.kind of, if you can plug in and have wifi your set
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Kinda - If you have a device that can talk to the Chrome cast, then yes. If you do not, then it will do nothing for you. This item allows you to "cast" information from your smartphone/tablet to the tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Truly, enjoy this device. So, go out and get it. Plus, if you only get one, you can move it to different TV or take it with for trips. Easy to install.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I truly truly love this device. Whatever you're watching on your phone or tablet can be casted to your TV. I love that I can find anything that I want to watch. You just go gotta buy it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In the true sense, no. It does however, link your TV to your smart device and now u can broadcast your smart device on your larger television.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.TL;DR: Not quite, but close. What it does is allow you to stream videos (or browser tabs with the official Google extension) from Google Chrome over your wi-fi network. So in a way, yes, provided you have a computer with Google Chrome or a mobile device with the Chromecast app. So far, I've had pretty decent experience with streaming video to it. However, for whatever reason, it doesn't work well with online episodes of shows from a specific TV network's website, but that's probably on their end. Everywhere else I've tried works fine though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have an older HDTV without any “smart” features and you can’t afford or just don’t want to upgrade to a newer more capable set just yet, you may be happy to discover that adding smart features to your existing TV is as easy as adding one of these devices!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Almost... depends on what you want to do. You can't browse the internet using this (unless you are casting your chrome browser from your computer). Say if you want to watch some game on "watch ESPN" app - you can directly cast it to the tv (any tv with HDMI input).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Chromecast will take any tab in your Chrome browser and send the signal, via wifi, to your TV, so theoretically, yes it can. However, I suggest taking every device in your home and disconnecting them from your wifi to increase signal strength to chrome.
