Yes it has an ecg function as part of its basic package where you put your thumb and index fingers on the metal corners of the watch face for thirty seconds while keeping your arm and hand in a steady position. The app will guide you through the process. As my doctor keeps reminding me, the Sense and other devices like are an "imprecise" medical device. They are directionally correct (my words). The device also tells you to check with your doctor before taking any action
