“I have a ceiling light near the back door and would like to put it on the ceiling facing out the door and place a plug in the ceiling using power from the ceiling light is this possible from the light.”

As long as you put a plug adapter in the light socket, it should work just fine.

That sounds good . U don't really need light due to fact it has night vision

System uses a single cable with a standard power plug. If you have an outlet installed then you are good to go.
