“I’ve done a lot of in home wiring. Couldn’t I just cut the power cord, take out several feet and wire the plug back to the power cord? ,”

• Probably. But why? The cord should be plenty long enough and why increase your risk of wire failure and house fire? The plug is slightly large so the hole I had to drill in the side of my house was larger than I would have liked but nothing a bit of caulk couldnt fix.
