“Does anyone know how many feet the camera need to be from base?”

• ? what base? It comes with a power cord. As long as it is in WIFI range all is good. There is no minimum distance.

• I don't know that in particular but make sure your WIFI signal is strong and it should be fine.

• The camera (itself) has a magnetic base which holds the camera. Affix the camera with base to any area you wish.

• By base I'm assuming you mean your wifi router. It's all up to your signal. As long as the camera can get on your wifi. No different than an Ipda, phone, etc in your house.
