• It can record from that distance but it is not capable of zooming in from that distance to spot a legible license plate.

• Nest Cam Outdoor first figures out what everything looks and sounds like when there’s no activity. This way it can tell when something in the scene changes, such as someone walking into view. Nest Cam Outdoor can see as far as the human eye can see in the daylight, but detecting motion depends on how clear the view is.
