It depends on how strong your Wi-Fi signal is, and how much wireless interference is present. Check for sources of wireless interference from thick walls, floors, appliances and furniture, or from other electronics that compete on the same frequencies. We'd recommend keeping your Nest Cam within 25 feet from the router to avoid connectivity issues due to weak signals. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wifi range in general is pretty small, and the newer (faster) bands are shorter than the older, slower bands. You don't say what "pretty far" means in feet or yards, but if it's more than 20, through the wall of your house, I wouldn't have a lot of hope.
