Yes, this weatherproof cable is designed for both indoor and outdoor use and has a Weather-resistant (IP65) rating. Please note that it works with Nest Cam (Battery) only to keep your camera connected with continuous power. Both the camera and cable can withstand dust, rain or snow.

Yes, it's for outdoor use. The plug for the outlet needs to be indoors or protected. Ours runs to an outlet which I installed in the attic.

This cable was designed to be installed outdoors. However, the Google supplied cables labeled to be weather proof show a lot cracking of the installation after a year or so. Google will not replace a cable if it shows this wear.

Information I have seen says it is weather proof.  Cord connects on bottom of camera.

One of mine is exterior mountd; but it has only been there for about 2 weeks.  No rain yet.

It should work in the rain as long as you didn’t mount the camera upside down.
