“Our current doorbell is mounted on the side wall not the door frame. Does this have an insert that will angle the camera to see people coming up to the door better? I’m curious before I buy one.”

Yes, there is wedge accessory included in the box. Having it between the doorbell mount and the wall will angle the doorbell towards the door.
