• Yes, great question! Unfortunately, it does need a pre-existing power through your current doorbell. This model is not battery operated. I would suggest that you contact your local electrician to get something installed for you to be able to use this. “Requires a wired doorbell, chime and a 16-24VAC, 10VA transformer. Professional installation is recommended.”

• Yes, you will need about 16Volts on the wires as well.

• It needs the wiring to run power to the doorbell. If you don't have preexisting wiring you will need to run the wiring and have the appropriate transformer.
