• The reason the notification is labelled "sound" is just to make you aware what was detected. With sound turned off it will not record audio even if that's what is detected. Your doorbell is working properly.

• I've actually contacted support and apparently if you uninstall the app and then download it again it fixes it. It definitely did not.
