• I have mine wired into my existing mechanical doorbell chime and it sounds it just fine, along with the alert on my phone, whenever someone rings the doorbell.

• Can't answer about the Hub stuff. If you have powered the Nest through your existing door chime box, then the chime box will ring as it normally did.
