“I am debating between a Learning nest and a Honeywell T9. Does the nest have a vacation mode. We leave for 2 months in the winter and do not need to keep normal temps”

Because it's all done via your phone it doesn't matter. You can change it while you're away. Or just go into the schedule and set up an away schedule for when you're gone and change it back when you get home. You can also change the "away" settings and leave it on away while you're gone. Lots of options. But no, there's no selection called vacation.

When this feature is turned on, your thermostat will switch to Eco mode when you're away, and will switch back to regular use when you're home. Setting your Nest Thermostat E to Eco Mode gives you an adjustable temperature range and your thermostat will only kick in if the temperature goes outside the range that you set. It will keep the temperature within the range until you come back home.
