I have installed my nest in an older system which did not have a C wire. This worked for a one zone configuration. If your home has more that one zone, you will need to run a C wire. If your controller does not have a C terminal, you can use a relay to create one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it does not, but we actually installed one from our furnace so now we do not have to worry at all about batteries going dead. Much easier! I really recommend using the C wire if you can.
