Will it work with a heat only thermostat? null

Yes it will. It can detect what you have once you plug it in. I have heat only and only have two wires coming in ( white and red). I have an oil furnace and baseboard/radiators. It works great!

Yes as long as it is not high voltage. You can check their website for more answers or even you tube videos about installation. Those help guide you to determine if your system is considered high voltage.
