“I am struggling to find much information on Geo fencing. If I have my phone and my wife’s phone added to the Nest Application, will it also geo-fence hers? The “what decides when you are home” is set to my phone, so will it see when she is away also?”

As long as you're both listed as users in the app, each phone will work independent of each other. Make sure both phones are set to allow Nest to use the phones location all the time (not just when using the app).
