“Will it alert me while I am out if someone in the house changed (manually changed) the temperature on the thermostat? If so, can I then go in and change the temp back to what I want it to be from my iPhone?”

You won't get an alert if someone changes the setting manually while you're away. However, you can control with your iPhone when away from home. You can also set it automatically to Eco mode when you leave home, based on the location of your iPhone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It will not send you a notification on this. However you could use the app and set the temperature to go down with you leave. They were after you would need to watch the app to see if someone has set the temperature up again.

Please try again later.There isn't currently a notification option directly through the Nest app to tell you when the temperature is changed, however you can set up a lock on the Nest to lock the temperature to a set range to prevent people from changing the temperature while you're out.
