Please try again later.I am not sure about the line voltage vs low voltage, however, I have a 2 story home and when my thermostat was installed I was told by the installer that it is not necessary to have 2 thermostats. However, to get the full benefits of the nest I ultimately bought two. Once you realize how good the first one works you'll want to have it for both floors anyways.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You need to connect it to the main power source, that controlles the AC unit. The Rc or RH cable, with or without jumper, is the cable you need to control it and it depends on your unit specification. Other cable is the Green or Orange if you have it.
