“Can the Nest far sight motion sensor be disabled so the display does not go on automatically?”

• yes, you have to set it on the thermostat itself. Option is to manual turn it on.

• Yes, it can be turned off. I believe it can also turn on when clicked, rather than just by motion, but I haven't done that before.
