Both wired and battery operated Nest Protect work with Nest Learning Thermostat. Your Nest Protect will send a signal to shut off the thermostat during emergencies. Communication between the two devices relies on an active account in the Nest App and both should be connected to the internet. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will. I have two thermostats and 6 “battery” smoke and CO alarms, even the front door camera. I control all of them using the “Nest” app. My best friend just lost her two fur babies in a house fire and I went and bought 4 more alarms. I have three fur babies at home and I want to try my best to keep them safe. I hope I never go through what my friend went through. Great product!
