No, the residential model doesn't do that. Nest may have an apt. thermostat that does that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it wont. Your nest thermostat will just cool or heat to the temperature you have it set it and will use that for all the rooms. What i do in my house since i am using 4 also. I have 2 rooms that always get to 71*F and the other 2 will be 75*F. So i sent my thermostat to the ones that are normally cooler and set the thermostat to 73 or 74. It will cool/ heat and stay in that range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Each sensor and the thermostat are basically "individual" throughout the home/apartment building. In the Nest App, you would tell the thermostat to heat/cool, based on the one sensor (or thermostat) that you designate as the sensing unit for that moment/cycle. So, say if one apartment is always colder the others. If you set the app to heat the system based on that one sensor, it will do it; but the rest of the apartments might get too hot. Unfortunately, there's no way (right now) for the system to combine sensing from all sensors and thermostat to make all zones comfortable. Hopefully Google/Nest will be able to do some software "tweaks" to enable the thermostat and app to heat/cool based on a conjunction of all sensors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it will not balance out the system. It will just heat/cool the desired location to the temperature you set. The only thing that can balance an a/c system is zone dampers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nest Temperature Sensor is designed to allow comfort in the room of your choosing by using the chosen location as the ambient temperature. This can cause other parts of the home to be hotter or colder then the chosen location. Full details here: https://nest.com/support/article/FAQs-about-the-Nest-Temperature-Sensor-for-Nest-thermostats
