So I have installed 2 of the 3 so far and I love them. I can manually select the room I want to use to determine how the house is cooled or I can setup a schedule. So at night I have my master bedroom used to control the temperature based on a schedule. But when my son and I will be in the basement for a while I manually choose the basement. It's convenient and easy to install and setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I just installed this weekend (easy to do) and seems to be working perfect. You can prioritize which sensor it uses, you can even set it to prioritize different sensors at different times of day. I have two thermostats so I installed two. One keeps baby’s room constant all day, the other I have prioritizing family room during day and master bedroom at night. I also have one at my office doing similar functions. Nest and sensors is a huge advance for thermostats.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. This is exactly the purpose of these sensors. You can place the sensors in multiple locations in your home, locations that you want the Nest thermostat to use as its temperature reference point. Then, using the Nest app, select one of the locations that you want to use as the current reference point.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if you have a Nest thermostat you can run your system using the temperature on any Nest sensor. Although some non Nest thermostats allow for temperature adjustments (plus or minus) without the need for a sensor. You might want to look at that option as well and choose what is best for your home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Nest itself acts as a sensor too so you can just chose which area you want to be the most confortable
