It has an internal battery and comes with a USB cable for charging. The battery lasts a very long time and has to be charged prior to installing and must be removed to be recharged. However, if you are replacing an existing doorbell that is wired the Google Nest Doorbell Battery can be wired and never again requires charging, which is what I did.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nest Doorbell (battery) comes with a release tool and charging cable (3 feet) in the box. The Google Home app will notify you once the doorbell needs to charge. You can remove your Nest Doorbell using the included release tool and bring it indoors to charge it using the USB-C charging cable. Those wires should automatically charge your nest. If u dont have it connected simply take the doorbell (nest) off by using the small key that came with the product. Its a small slit on the top of the nest where the nest key goes into in order to release it from the holder. Take your nest in doors and plug it into a outlet using the charging cable that comes with the product.
