• You should only need the one router since it covers about 2200 square feet, unless you have thick or metal walls which may block the signal.

• My condo is about the same sq ft with a basement. I had the same issue as you have. I replaced my modem and added the wireless router. It’s perfect no loss of signal.

• This is definitely all you need it works amazingly even through walls as my apartment is set up with many walls and I have great connection on the other side of the apt

• The best router should suffice as it has more coverage than the previous version. The official claim is 2200 ft due to the new AC2200.
