About the basement it's not the most ideal place for a router and my nest has very poor performance more than 6 inches away from the device. My old Netgear nighthawk I could connect to my Wi-Fi a block away from my house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Picking up the Google Nest Wifi 3 Point (3Pack)system should absolutely cover you then. Router in basement, 2nd point first floor, 3rd point close the to door where the Ring is. I have my entire house covered, my backyard and my garage with these. Good luck

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your router is Google Nest Wifi router, then you can add a Google Nest Wifi point wirelessly to create a mesh Wi-Fi network. You can place the point close to your Ring to provide reliable connection. If the distance between your Google Nest Wifi router and Ring device is longer than one point can cover, you may need a second one. You can take a look at our support chart in the following link to determine how many points you may need : https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7182840
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Google Nest and it works awesome. You can get additoinal points to connect and extend your wifi range with the nest as your router. I would recommend Google Nest router it is very good and enables us to get the full speed of the gigabyte internet we have. Screaming fast with the nest.
